Case 1 Dressing code

The contemporary world requires professionals to be more competitive. Therefore, projecting an image of credibility and security has become an essential tool in promoting trust and generate authority, leadership and power. All professional exercising must learn to develop a comprehensive picture, covering factors from the dress, to the identity and commitment. The dress code is one of the pieces that make up the letter of professionals and one of the most decisive in the success of a company. However, even with the most exclusive clothes is meaning less if the attitude holder who does not project leadership and personality.

In the case, Mindy was not wearing appropiately clothes for being in a medical facility. A professional in the medical field has to wear clothes confortables but at the same time with a good taste. Wearing jeans, short shirts, flip flops are not clothing to work in any profession. In this case Mandy could wear scrubs that show professionalism and are confortable to move and perform the daily duty. It did not matter how sharp and clean Mandy looked in the outfit she cross the good taste line, clients and coworkers can get offended and feel unconfortable . She was wearing clothes to go to the club. Like mention before scrubs are a good option. Think of a professional style, based on an identity of its own, according to the powers that be highlighted as professional strengths, besides the style or look itself, is part of a strategic construction of that project has been proposed. Therefore, the elegance, simplicity, versatility, proactivity and professionalism of a person, will, no doubt reinforced in their clothing.

Case 2 Non Verbal Communication

Characteristics of nonverbal communication: maintains a relationship with verbal communication, as often used together, in many cases acts as a regulator of the communication process, helping to expand or reduce the significance of the message. Adding and very important body language, the gestures, movements, tone of voice, our clothes and even our body odor are also part of the messages when communicating with others.

In the case Mr. Collings could have bieng significantly affected by the employees of the clinic. They were not paying the significant attention to his problem. Facial and corparal expressiona play a huge role in any profession. Every time we interact with someone with other than verbal communication, we are using our body language and our facial expressions mostly to send coded messages about how we feel about the situation ot the environment at all times.
