Bulling

The video presented at class is an invitation to open our eyes regarding a big problem in our society “Bulling”. It was probably a flash back to many of us from our childhood and those years in school where we witness a bulling moment to one our friends or to ourselves. Bulling has been a hug problem in many schools in the United States and there is a high rate of children affected from this social problem. By seeing the video I was interested on the topic and some of the questions that came to my mind were why people like to molest others? What are the consequences of bulling? What the government has done to help those children who had been affected by bulling? And how aware people are about these problems? So, I will try to answer these questions in this reaction paper from the movie presented at class.

In our world the sense of humanity and respect are concepts that we have been losing in the last past years and decades. It seems to me that globalization and materialism have affected the meaning respect and sense of humanity in our society. For instance, people in the past used to be most respectful and kind to each others, they used to be more concerns about others wellbeing, and they look each other as a one brotherhood “being humans”. However, nowadays materialism has made people to see others as a thing to be used and it invites us to use them. So, the idea of human being has been forgiving day by day and now people just see to each other as a thing. This idea has been implanted in the mind of many children who spend too much time on TV watching people fighting and hating each other. It makes our children to act like what they see on TV and home. Furthermore, the results of bulling are terrible in whatever environment this will be done such as school or work places. Some of these consequences are suicide, schools or work fighting, and massive shooting among others. It is sad to see how many people a person victim of bulling, has killed, and how many children and adults have been taking their lives by being molested for others. I think something have to been done in our school and home to stop bulling. In the video there are some programs that are presented by the United States government to educate children on this topic, and program to those people who have bulling others. In my opinion programs like those should be presented, not only at school but as well on TV to prevent children to abusive or to be abusive by others. One last question that I would like to comment is how aware people are regarding bulling in schools and work places? For many parents they may not be aware of their children by abusive by others children, or themselves being abusive by a coworker. I believe bulling should be eradicated from our school and children should be able to have a heath environment where they could grow without being afraid of being themselves. Children should
