NO SLEEP?
I don’t know if any of you have gone through the same experience as me. I am talking about waking up spontaneously in the middle of the night, as if you have just closed your eyes and all of a sudden you are fully awake. I look at the ceiling in my room and move my eyes to every corner trying to get a glimpse of something, only to realize that there is nothing more than complete darkness, and little by little my mind becomes filled with memories and thoughts that bring me chills. This has happened to me about 3 or 4 times this week, and it worries me that it will never go away and that it will haunt me for the rest of my life, so I decided to tell my friends, to see if any of them were going or had been through the same experience. When I told them what I was going through, most of them laughed at me and some of them even joked around by telling me that I might be haunted.
One evening my friend Carla told me: “I found out something about what is happening to you, that thing about you waking up in the middle of the night. A lot of people have gone through the same experience, but you must know that there is something very wrong with all of this”.
It turns out that Carla had been to one of those places where they read your hand, and they can see into your future and crazy stuff like that. I don’t believe in that kind of stuff, but Carla kept insisting that we go there and talk to the “Fortune teller.” She told me, “Come with me so that you can hear what she has to say about your experiences”. And in a joking tone I responded with, “Yes! Maybe she can tell me the winning lottery numbers. Do you really believe I’m going to go see some “Fortune teller” just because I sometimes wake up at 3a.m. feeling scared and uneasy?” to this she responded, with a serious look in her face: “I would go”. After a few minutes of analyzing the situation and seeing how important this was to her, I agreed to go. I couldn’t lose anything anyway.
Carla took me to a small shack that was about 3 blocks from my house. I never realized that there was a fortune teller so close to my house. We went into the shack and there was a lady, I would say in her late 60’s, she was very old and she appeared as if the life had been sucked out of her. I felt sad seeing her in that state, and before Carla could say a word she said: “So this is your friend, the one that has her dreams interrupted?” My friend somewhat uneasy answered: “Yes ma’am this is her. I have brought her today so that you can tell her what you told me when we spoke about her problem”. The fortune teller immediately looked at me and said: “What you are going through is something very peculiar, but it has a solution, all you have to do is…” Wait a moment, I told her. Before you begin trying to sell me your products, could you tell me the reason I wake up so scared in the middle of the night? She looked at Carla, and she told her: “It looks like you didn’t tell her anything about what we discussed right?” Carla just nodded her head in a motion to signify no!
The fortune teller looked at me again and told me: “Young lady your case is very simple. I will explain it to you in the simplest of ways.” I gave her my undivided attention, and she said: “What is happening is that “someone” is speaking your name, and that is why you wake up so abruptly with no reasonable explanation”. At that moment I told her (With a smile on my face) there are many other people in this world with my name, and you’re telling me that because someone mentions my name this is happening to me? A grin appeared on her face, a smirk as if to let me know that she was going to have the last laugh. And with a sweet voice she said: “The thing is sweetheart, that someone that mentions your name, is whispering it to your ear.”
