GLOSARY TERMS INTERNATIONAL

Loading Customhouse: Loading Customhouse is that where certain preliminary customs measures are adopted and under whose control the goods are loaded into appropriate vehicles or cargo units that are duly registered, in order to facilitate the beginning of an international transportation or customs traffic operation at a customhouse of departure.

 Aduana de carga: Aduana de carga es que donde se adoptan determinadas medidas preliminares de aduanas y bajo cuyo control se cargan las mercancías en vehículos apropiados o unidades de carga que están debidamente registradas, con el fin de facilitar el inicio de un transporte o aduanas tráfico operación internacional en una aduana de partida.

Destination Customhouse: Customs officewhere the Customs transit operations ends.

 Aduana de destino: oficina aduanera donde termina la operación de tránsito aduanero.

Customhouse of Departure: Customs office where the transit operations begins.

 Aduana de Partida: oficina aduanera por donde comienza la operación de tránsito aduanero.

Border Crossing Customhouse: Customs Office in border, which is involved in the control of an operation of international Customs transit, by which goods cross on the occasion of such an operation.

 Aduana de paso de frontera: oficina aduanera ubicada en frontera, que interviene en el control de una operación de Tránsito Aduanero Internacional, por la cual las mercancías cruzan con motivo de tal operación

International Road Waybill (IRB): Contracts of public goods road transport where the place of loading of the goods and the place for delivery are situated in two different countries.

Document that evidences the contract between the shipper and the Express Mail Company or Courier and it replaces the Bill of lading, for each shipment. This waybill shall specify in detail the content of each of the packages covered by it.

National Border Service Center (CENAF) or Binational Border Service Center (CEBAF) located next to the authorized border crossings, is the facilities with their necessary installations and equipment that house the national authorities involved in controlling the transportation, traffic, customs, immigration, health and other operations relating to the access of persons, vehicles and merchandise when they enter or leave the territory of a Member Country and where complementary facilitation services for those operations and user services are also offered.

 Centro Nacional de servicio en frontera (CENAF) o centro de servicio binacional de frontera (CEBAF) situado al lado de los cruces fronterizos autorizados, es las instalaciones con sus equipos e instalaciones necesarias en esa casa también se ofrecen las autoridades nacionales que intervienen en el control del transporte, tráfico, aduanas, inmigración, salud y otras operaciones relacionadas con el acceso de las personas, vehículos y mercancías cuando que entren o salgan del territorio de un país miembro y donde servicios de facilitación complementaria para aquellas operaciones y servicios de usuario.

Certificate of Approval is the document that certifies that a truck or tractor truck is approved to provide the service of international transportation of merchandise by road.

 Certificado de aprobación: es el documento que certifica que un camión o un camión tractor es aprobado para proporcionar el servicio de transporte internacional de mercancías por carretera.

Qualification Certificate: Certificado de Calificación

Consignee: It is the natural or legal person (societies, firms) to which you send goods from abroad. Consignee, person without being the recipient of the goods, the transport document covering the goods upon arrival in the country received in endorsement is also considered.

 Consignatario: Es la persona natural o jurídica (sociedades, empresas) a la cual le envían la mercancía al exterior. También se considera consignatario, aquella persona que sin ser el destinatario de la mercancía, recibe en endoso el documento de transporte que ampara la mercancía a su llegada al país.

Container: An article of transport equipment (lift-van, movable tank or other

similar structure) :

(i) fully or partially enclosed to constitute a compartment intended for

containing goods,

(ii) of a permanent character and accordingly strong enough to be

suitable for repeated use,

(iii) specially designed to facilitate the carriage of goods, by one or

more modes of transport, without intermediate reloading,

(iv) designed for ready handling, particularly when being transferred

from one mode of transport to another,

(v) designed to be easy to fill and to empty, and

(vi) having an internal volume of one cubic metre or more.

 Contenedor: Un artículo de equipo de transporte (levante-van, tanque movible u otra estructura similar):
