Musicoterapia

Este trabajo investiga un área de aplicación del sonido y la música, que es relativamente nueva y poco conocida en nuestro país, pero ampliamente desarrollada y constituida en países de Europa, como España e Inglaterra, y en países de América como Estados Unidos y Argentina: La Musicoterapia. La Musicoterapia es una ciencia multidisciplinaria que utiliza el sonido y la música como medio terapéutico, con el fin de mejorar la calidad de vida de las personas, satisfaciendo tanto sus necesidades físicas, psíquicas, cognitivas y sociales. La aplicación de esta disciplina abarca diversas áreas de la salud y puede ser implementada en diversas instituciones como centros de educación especial, centros de rehabilitación, centros de estimulación e integración infantil, educación, geriatría, centros de salud mental, etc. En cada área de aplicación la Musicoterapia plantea objetivos, métodos y técnicas que son específicos para cada caso, los cuales son evaluados por el musicoterapeuta en un análisis previo del paciente y de la patología que lo aqueja. En Musicoterapia es de suma importancia la correcta elección de las herramientas musicales que se utilizaran dentro de una sesión, como por ejemplo, los instrumentos sonoros, la música grabada y las diversas actividades complementarias como la danza, el dibujo, etc., ya que de ellas depende, en gran medida, el logro de los objetivos terapéuticos. La elección del espacio físico para la realización de las sesiones también cumple un rol importante, siendo las características acústicas más importantes, a la hora de implementar una sala de musicoterapia, el aislamiento acústico de sonoridades tanto externas como internas y la posibilidad de experimentar las vibraciones mediante el sentido del tacto. En Chile el estudio y aplicación de la Musicoterapia ha ido avanzando con el tiempo, lo que se refleja por ejemplo, en la creación del Postítulo de Artes mención Musicoterapia de la Universidad de Chile, debido al creciente interés que profesionales de diversas áreas han manifestado por esta disciplina.

SUMMARY

This Work investigate an area of application of sound and music, which is relatively new and little-known at our country, but largely developed and constituted at countries of Europe, like Spain an England, and some countries of America like United States an Argentina: The Music Therapy. Music Therapy is a multidisciplinary science that utilizes the sound and the music like therapeutic midway, with the aim of improve the people’s life, satisfying his physical, psychic, cognitive and social necessities. The application of this discipline include diverse areas of the health and can be implemented in diverse institutions like in centers of special education, centers of rehabilitation, centers of stimulations and infantile integration, education, geriatrics, centers of mental health, etc. In each area of applications the Music Therapy raises aims, methods and techniques that are specifics for every case, which are evaluates by the musictherapist in a previous analysis of the patients and the pathology that afflicts it. In Music Therapy, is very important the correct choice of the musical tools that will be in use inside a session, like example, the sonorous instrument, the recorded music and the diverse complementary activities like dance, drawing, etc., since on them there depends, to a great extent, the achievement of the therapeutic aims. The choice of the physical space for the accomplishment of the meetings also plays an important role, being the most important acoustics characteristics to considering at the moment of implementing Music Therapy room, the acoustic isolation of both external and internal sonorities and the possibility of experiencing the vibrations by means of the sense of the tact. In Chile the study and applications of Music Therapy has been advancing, which is reflected for example in the creations of the Postítulo de Artes mención Musicoterapia of the Universidad de Chile, due to the increasing interest that professionals of diverse areas have demonstrated for this discipline.
