Last summer, my parents deided to go on a trip by themselves, leaving my younger sister and i in the care of someone else. despite my protests, they decided that we should spend time with our paternal grandparents at their house in more, oklahoma. i was 15 years old and hadnt seen them since i was 10. our grandparents would take care of us and the decision was final.

i was not happy at all, i would have preferred to stay ar the hause of one of my friends back in anchorage, in alaska, but my parents wouldn¨t allow that. they told me i should visit my grandparents house since i¨d never gone before. so that¨s how i ended up in oklahoma, bored out of my mind with nothin to do but play cards and scrabble with my sister, abby.

as evening approached on one of those extremely boring days, my grandmother rushed into the living room where my sister and i were playing the seventh scrabble round of the day. "ababy, ceden, they just issued a tornado watch on the news and we must be prepared". grandma said.

"what about grandpa? he´s still working. ist he?" i asked.

"don´t you worry," shesaid and looked at her wristwactch" he should be back soon, and he´ll join us in the tv room."
