RESUMEN

INTRODUCCIÓN

El apiñamiento es  en la actualidad es la enfermedad bucal más común según la Organización Mundial de la Salud, pero muchas veces no sabemos a que se debe o por que está presente en nosotros, si lo podemos prevenir o como lo podemos corregir.  

OBJETIVO

Saber la prevalencia que hay de apiñamiento dental en la facultad de odontología región Veracruz en los estudiantes con matrícula S16 Y S17, además de dar a conocer los tipos y factores que influyen para tener apiñamiento dental.

MATERIALES Y MÉTODO

Fue un estudio descriptivo transversal prospectivo a estudiantes de Odontología en la Universidad Veracruzan región Veracruz con matrícula S16 Y S17. El análisis estadistico fue por medio de gráficas de Excel.

RESULTADOS

El 65.3% (66) de los alumnos de la Facultad de Odontología de la Universidad Veracruzana no presentan apiñamiento dental actualmente, sin embargo refiere el 64.4% (65) si haberlo presentado. Sin embargo en este momento tan solo el 32.7% de los alumnos presentan apiñamiento. En cuanto al conocimiento sobre el tema, el 96% mencionan sin saber que es el apiñamiento dental, 65.3% (66) saben cuales son los tipos y el 85.1% (86) conocen cuales son los factores por el cual se desencadena el apiñamiento dental.

CONCLUSIONES

Más del 50% de nuestros estudiantes de la Universidadd Veracruzana de la Facultad de Odontología no presentan apiñamiento dental.

ABSTRACT

INTRODUCTION

According to the World Health Organization, nowadays Dental Crowding is one of the most common oral diseases, however most of the times we do not know the reasons or why is very present between us, if we can prevent it or if we can even fix it.

OBJECTIVE

To know the prevalence of dental crowding of the students that are members of the odontology faculty in Veracruz, students with the numbers S16 and S17, also to announce the types and the factors that led to dental crowding.

METHOD AND MATERIALS

It was a transversal prospective and descriptive study that was made to a students of the Odontology University of Veracruz with numbers S16 - S17. The statistical analysis was made by excel charts.

RESULTS

The 65.3% (66) of the students from the Odontology Faculty of the University of Veracruz, do not have dental crowding, although 64.4% (65) have it. However, in this moment only the 32.7% of the students shows dental crowding. Regarding to the knowledge of this topic, 96% mention that they do not know what dental crowding refers to. 65/3% (66) know what are the types and the other 85.1% (86) know the factors that causes dental crowding.

CONCLUSION

More of the 50% of the students from the Odontology Faculty of the University of Veracruz do not present dental crowding.
