Introduction
To make an importation to another country, it is needed to make an investigation of the products that we are going to import because each country has different rules. This activity contains the information needed to make an importation to Mexico. The products that we are going to import are:
- Whisky from Scotland
- Watches from Switzerland
- Led lamps from China
These products have different quantities and also, they need to be transported in a different way.
In this activity we are going to make an investigation of each product, the cost is going to be calculated and also its freight cost, transportation way and type of package.
Also, it is really important to have all the international documentation that is needed to make an importation to another country. These documents are:
- Commercial Invoice
- Packing Slip
- Certificate of Origin
- Whisky
There are different types of whiskey, but the product chosen is the brand Glenfiddich with 43% Gay Lussac in a glass bottle. This product is going to be imported for the company William Grant & Sons Mexico.
Whiskey is an alcoholic beverage obtained by the distillation of a fermented must of cereals such as barley, wheat, malt, rye and corn, and later aging in oak barrels, traditionally white.
Venezuela and Mexico stand out in the list of the main markets for Scotch whiskey, as their imports have increased over the years.
The product is going to be transported by sea, because it is the cheapest way and the product does not expire. The type of container needs to be one that can preserve the substances without affecting the flavor.
