I. OVERVIEW

 1.1 Company´s name

The Coca-Cola Company

1.3 Location

    The headquarters of the coca cola company is located in Atlanta, Georgia.   The offices are located on a campus with many buildings, including One Coca-Cola Plaza, which is the tallest. The 29-story tower is located at the corner of Luckie Street and North Avenue.

1.4 Founder

    He was born in Villa Rica (Georgia) and began his activity as a pharmaceutical entrepreneur at the age of 35 (1887). It was that same year when he bought the secret formula for 500 dollars from the inventor of Coca-Cola. Five years later he founded the company with which he became a billionaire.

The general president of the coca company is James Quincey

   Due to the emergence of other competing brands, Coca-Cola began to create more bottlers to cover its market share.

Outside the United States, some bottlers appear:

  • Coca-Cola Amatil, located in Australia (Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, South Pacific)
  • Coca-Cola European Partners PLC, located in the United Kingdom (Western Europe)
  • Coca-Cola Bottlers Philippines, Inc., located in the Philippines..
  • Coca-Cola FEMSA, located in Mexico; Guatemala, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina.
  • Arca Continental, located in Mexico, United States, Ecuador, Peru and Formosa, Argentina.
  • Arca Continental Lindley Corporation, located in Peru
  • Coca-Cola Embonor and Embotelladora Andina S.A, located in Chile (South America)
  • Coca-Cola Beverages Africa, located in South Africa (South and East Africa)
  • Coca-Cola Korea, located in South Korea.

 II. THE COMPANY

2.1 History

     The coca cola company started in a pharmacy in atlanta (usa), thus began the history of the most famous drink in the world.

     The pharmacist John Pemberton discovered the formula for the drink, the pharmacist tried many times, but on May 8, 1892, the pharmacist mixed syrup with carbonated water and discovered the formula.

 the taste was delicious, from that moment on, the commercialization began.

 the company built the first production facility in atlanta in 1890.  

the company first contracted advertising in 1900.

the company opened three new production facilities in canada, cuba and panama.

today it is the most famous drink in the world.

      Refresh the world in mind, body and spirit, inspire moments of optimism and happiness through our brands and actions, and create value and make a difference.

2.3 Employees

The total number of employees is 700,000.

The company generates 3600 jobs in peru.

     The products offered by Coca-Cola are coffee, tea, juices, dairy products, carbonated soft drink and water. Among the beverages offered by coca cola are:

     The Coca-Cola Company has more than 24 million points of sale in 200 countries. This generates direct employment for more than 71,000 people.

 3.3  Competition

     One of the biggest competitors of the coca cola company is PepsiCo Inc. Pepsi is also a beverage company. The two companies compete with each other through the use of publicity.
