2.DESARROLLO:

Definition: El pasado simple es un tiempo verbal que se utiliza para describir acciones que han sucedido en   un tiempo anterior y que ya han finalizado.

Grammar:

Affirmative

subject + verb (past) + complement

Negative

subject + didn’t + verb (present) + complement

Examples:    

  • I was good in English in primary school.
  • We were at the park last Saturday.
  • Dad had an important appointment in his job.  
  • I kissed to my father.
  • Mom prepared Peruvian food for my father.
  • Paolo didn’t play football last Monday.
  • My family ate ceviche last Sunday.
  • I didn’t go to school last year.
  • We went to Chile to work.
  • You didn’t play video games last weekend.
  •  Dad didn’t buy a new cellphone.
  • I didn’t stay at home last Sunday.

Time expressions:

  • Yesterday
  • Last week/month/year
  • Yesterday morning/afternoon/evening
  • Last Monday/Tuesday/Sunday
  • Last January/July/December
  • One week ago/four months ago

Remember! 

-El auxiliar del tiempo pasado simple es: “DID”.

-“DID” conjuga con todos los pronombres.

-En oraciones negativas usamos “DIDN’T” seguido del verbo en tiempo presente.
