WHAT IS DRUG ADDICTION?[pic 6]

 When a user may not take a drug voluntarily, even if you want to do it, it is called addiction. The temptation is too strong control even if it includes drug is causing harm. 

Addiction is a mental illness.

KROKODIL

It is a derivative of codeine which is mixed with gasoline, oil, alcohol or paint thinner; this mixture is injected into the body through a hypodermic needle. One effect is to alter the appearance of the skin, making it flaky and dark.[pic 8]

 Although someone overcome this addiction, are alterations such as scars, bone damage, amputee’s member’s body, slurred speech and motor skills and brain damage.

Name: comes from the English word crocodile, referring to the effects that eat or eat the skin. Also it is known as the zombie drug desomorphine (its formal name), cannibal drug and heroin poor.

Background: desomorphine already been developed as an analgesic in US in 1930, he called dihidrodesoximorfina; but in 1932 it disappeared from the market because of its highly addictive properties.

Origin: It is said that began to be consumed by a shortage of heroin in Russia, due to a decline in opium crops in Afghanistan. Its use began in villages spread to Russia and ex-Soviet countries such as Georgia, Ukraine and Kasajastán. It should be noted that Soviet countries have a long tradition in injecting substances derived from opium since before the fall of the wall.

Cost: It costs three to five times less than heroin. Its estimated price is less than one dollar when their preparation is homemade.

Components containing codeine; an alkaloid that is found naturally in opium and in some cough syrups. This substance is mixed with toxic chemicals such as alcohol, industrial oil or thinner.

Level of addiction: the drug with addiction highest level ever recorded: with a few doses, the user becomes dependent, and in just two months, starts recording losses of skin and flesh, and severe infections.

Preparation can be prepared in less than an hour from codeine, it is cooked with highly toxic industrial chemicals and accessible solvents such as paint, gasoline, hydrochloric acid, iodine and phosphorus scraper boxes of matches.

Effects on the body: sensory effects are very similar to those of heroin, which preface for about 40 minutes.[pic 9]

Damage: thrombosis and bleeding, skin ulcers, phlebitis, gangrene, skin infections that reach even the bones, loss of limbs and fingers, legs and arms; loosening of the skin in areas of dead tissue ulceration of the veins causes them to be removed even with muscle and tissues. Users more addicts die in less than a year.

Worldwide presence: Since December 2013 there have been some cases of attention to patients addicted to this substance in hospitals in the United States and Mexico.[pic 10]
