CORRECCIONES

The advantages of living in Guadalajara were the security in 1998 when I was a child the people could walk on the streets without worries, the children could play soccer, hide and seek, ride a bike or scooter without parent’s surveillance, all was perfect but everything has been changing since then. In 2000 our President Vicente Fox sent a politic reform to fight against corruption, robbers, drug dealers, etc. That was the trigger that makes explode the insecurity, the fight started and Guadalajara was affected little by little by this passive war against the insecurity. In Guadalajara are a lot of drug dealers and the police never do their job, and even if they do, they get corrupted by the system, which means that they receive money every time they have to apply law and send other people who doesn’t commit any crime to cover the one who did, in 21st century the system is even more corrupted because the interests changed and now the humans rights are not the main interest of the people, money is. The cops are no trusted anymore because they are involved in crimes with the drug dealers furthermore they don’t do their job they are searching excuses to avoid their job and that doesn’t mean that they are bad they have needs but it’s not the way to fulfill their needs, it’s like a chain when they do bad their jobs, they obtain money but also make that the people feel uncomfortable and that causes insecurity not only with the authorities also with themselves. The bank robbers are other kind of insecurity because they could be anyone who enter in to the bank they are sneaky and very clever guys because the police never noticed that is a bank robber, they always got caught by the cameras but the banker never had the chance to noticed that he has been robed, even thought we have pictures we never recognized them, these kinds of robbers are the perfect chameleon and brings people a lot of insecurity because a guy with a cap or with sunglasses could be a suspect. Other kind of insecurity are the motorcycle riders they make their move in pairs one of them just waits in the bike and the other one attacks the victim with a knife, a cutter or a gun to intimidate or harm the victim, then they hit them and finally they just walk toward the bike they ride on, and go away these kind of robber are the most cruel because they don’t care if they are women, children, etc. Now in these days the police just make them park and sometimes they take them to the jail but other times the police receive a part of the money that have been stolen. The gangs are other kind of insecurity like “Jalisco Nueva Generación” or “La Familia” are specific groups who doesn´t care who are harm they just strike against everyone like civilians, government, cops, hospitals, because they just fights for their believes this guys just like to received power over the city and take control of it. These kinds of gangs feel comfortable with their own law and don’t respect the others. Other kind of robbers and killers are the “bus robber” or “bus shooter” they killed with their bare hands the bus driver or shot at them like they were at hunting, now days these kinds of killers feel the need to kill o just steal money from the bus driver, but lately these kinds of robbers are the most sound in the newspaper, radio and TV shows because they killed without a reason, and even if they had have one reason there is not exist any reason to take another’s life.
