Pasión Austral is an artwork of the Chilean  artist Teresa Aninat, initiated during the year 2015 with a series of navigations in the extreme south and the central coast of her country, under the auspices of the Chilean Navy. On January 29th, 2016, Aninat will transmit in morse code, from  Cape  Horn lighthouse a fragment of the travel diaries of Jacob Le Maire and William Cornelius Schouten, discoverers of the Cape Horn, alternating with the sailors whistle sounds for honor and silence. Radio Amateurs from Chile will be operating as XR400AA,  On the 400th anniversary of the discovery of Cape Horn, Pasión Austral pays homage to the will of those who open the road to new explorations.
