Athletes With High Salaries

Should athletes receive high salaries? According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, athletes in competitive sports suffer more than two thousand injuries a year, because these people put their body at risk every time they train, practice and compete, many people overlook this aspect of athletes though other people think that they can criticize athletes for the amount of money they earn.

Athletes must earn high salaries as they perform on a team as they train hard to excel in their sport and have a short career. Some people argue that even if they have a short-lived athletic career, it shouldn't affect their salary and can easily pursue another career after participating in sports.

On the contrary, people argue that doctors or politicians deserve to earn more money than athletes because they have a greater effect on people's lives, some may argue that all people need to work hard to be successful in their profession.

Additionally, more athletes have been forced to put aside their education at a young age to play at the highest level in their sport. Although some former athletes suffer serious brain injuries that limit their ability to work, athletes also have a special emotional connection with people that no other professional can have.

Nevertheless, whereas an ordinary accountant gets sick, his company allows them to take the day off, but when athletes miss practice, they are expected to exercise and keep their body fit than other companies.

In conclusion, even though athletes make a huge impact in their community, because they train countless hours and have a short career, so they deserve the high salaries to despite this as people with a degree, athletes continue to receive unfair treatment from social media and others.
