or a long time humans have sought different ways to make life easier, the human as a social being, has been innovating the way of how to communicate faster. Through history, we have seen the different forms of communication, for example: sending messages using birds or messengers who traveled for days until you can reach your destination. Then, a little time later, telegram was born and then the phone was invented. However, there are means of communication that allows us to connect with everyone in the world, no matter how far we are, it is an easy and quick tool and I will discuss about it: internet.

Since the Internet was created by Leonard Kleinrock in July 1961, this tool was expanding globally, at first it was a tool that very few people could have such as large companies and important persons. But that has been changing; today the internet can be within reach of our hands with just having a phone, a tablet and so on. Besides, we just need to hire one of the many companies that offer Internet service to be wired. These companies would give us the benefit of having this great tool. So today we can see that 38% of the population in Colombia has with this service either at home or internet cafe.

Internet is more than a means of communication, it is a virtual library, is a world of knowledge that we can find and share. In internet you can "browse" and find what you want as information to your work, images, offers of job, and sometimes you can work from home without having to go to the office, you can promote your business using this wonderful tool. The internet is also a kind of entertainment, where you can search your favorite TV shows, video games and the songs of your favorite artists.

Other benefit that we can find in internet is the quick and easy way that social networks connect us to the people who we most want. Since the establishment of social networks, it has become a global BOOM so much so that the telephone companies include social networks access in their phone plans. Social networks can communicate us with different people at the same time and know about their lives and daily activities. In conclusion, social networks are the evolution of all types of communications as they cover each and every one of them.

Finally, internet brings us many utilities in a one place. Now you know what tool should we use if we need a job, find someone you have not seen, to advertise a business or whether for a job. But is important to take into account how this tool is used and there are many places where you can learn how to take advantage of internet.
