Some of the most common instructions for use and maintenance of the ship, though, is to assume that the Technical Services have their own maintenance programs that will, no doubt, be much more suitable than those expressed

Reference Standards

In fullfilment with the provisions of Standards and Applicable references to this Manual are listed below:

  • NORMA  ASTM  755  PAINTED PLATE

BUILDING STRUCTURE & SHIP : FOUNDATION

USE INSTRUCTIONS

Modified Weight

Any changes should be avoided in the charging system of the different parts of the ship. If you want to make changes, or any change of use within the ship consult your Technical Builder or Architect

INJURY

The lesions (cracks, crashes) in the foundation are not significant and are detected directly from those in other building elements (walls, ceilings, etc.). In these cases it is necessary that the Builder or Architect compile a report on detected lesions, determine its severity and, if applicable, the need for intervention.

CAUSES THAT MAY DAMAGE THE STRUCTURE

Major alterations made in the lands nearby, such as new construction, completion of wells, tunnels, roads or landfills may affect the foundation of the ship. If lesions are detected during the execution of the work, should be studied and, if necessary, we may require repair.

The undercurrents of natural water and leaking water pipes or drains can cause alterations of the land and the foundation mismatches. These mismatches may produce a settlement of the affected area may become significant deterioration in the rest of the structure. For this reason, it is essential to quickly remove any moisture from the subsoil.

After heavy rainfall, possible moisture and proper functioning of the drainage holes and drain can be observed.

OPERATIONS TO PERFORM

To Inspect

Every 2 years        Check the general condition and proper operation of drainage pipes and drainage.

Every 10 years   General inspection of the elements of the foundation

Every 10 years   Inspection of the container walls.

Technical Standards for Painted Material:

ASTM A755A-95: Standard Specification for Steel plates coated.

Metal by the hot immersion method and pre painted by roll coating process for building products exposed outdoors.

BUILDING STRUCTURE: VERTICAL STRUCTURE (WALLS AND PILLARS)

INSTRUCTIONS:

Persistent moisture in structural elements have a negative effect on the structure conservation.

Modifications

The elements that are part of the structure of the ship, (load walls included) cannot be altered without the control of Builder or Architect. This requirement includes carrying load on the walls and opening steps to the redistribution of interior spaces.

Falla

Over the life of the Ship falla symptoms may appear in the structure or elements in contact with her. In general, these defects can be serious. In these cases it is necessary that the Builder or Architect analyze the detected lesions, determine their importance and, if so, decide the need for intervention.

List of symptoms of injury with potential impact on the structure:

–   Deformations: walls collapse, fronts and pillars.

–   Fissures and cracks: on walls, fronts and pillars.

–   Appearance of rust stains on reinforcing elements

–   Humidity in areas where the beams are embedded in the wall.

The expansion joints, even if elements that often are not visible, play an important role in the building or ship: to absorb movements caused by thermal changes experienced by the structure and prevent damage to other elements of the ship. It is for this reason that a malfunction of these elements cause problems in other parts of the ship and, as a preventive measure need to be inspected periodically by the Builder or Architect.

The injuries which are caused by a malfunction of the structural joints, will be reflected in the form of cracks in the structure.

OPERATIONS TO PERFORM

To inspect

Every 5 years        General inspection of the resistant structure

.

Every 10 years   Inspection of the state of the joints and the appearance of fissures and cracks in the walls of mortar blocks

.

Every 10 years Inspection of the state of the joints, appearance of fissures, cracks

Every 10 years   inspection of the coating in the steel structure

Every 10 years   Control of lesions appearance in the structural elements.

To renew

Every 3 years    Repainting of accessible metal parts of the structure.

Falla

Over time it is possible that some kind of detectable falla appears from the bottom of the roof. If any of the following symptoms is recommended that you consult your Builder or Architect.

List of symptoms of injury with potential impact on the structure:

– Deformations: bulges in ceilings, floor tiles disjointed, doors or windows that do not fit.

–   Fissures and cracks: ceilings, floors, beams, doors, balconies and windows.

–   Chipped in the lining of the structure.

–   Rust stains on elements in the structure

–   Rust stains on metals. .

Use

Like the rest of the building, the roof has its own structure with limited resistance to the use for which it is designed.

Modifications

Whenever you want to change the use of the cover (especially in flat roofs) should consult your Builder or Architect.

Falla

Over time it is possible that some kind of detectable lesion appears from the bottom of the cover, although in many cases this will not be visible. It should therefore respect the deadlines for review of the different elements. If any of the following symptoms is recommended that you consult your Builder or Architect.

FACADE

INSTRUCTIONS

The walls separating the habitable rooms of the building from the outside environment, therefore must meet high demands of insulation against cold or heat, noise, on the facade is the external image of the craft and its occupants.

The formation of the curtain walls can be very complex, being necessary for personal maintenance specialist.

FACADE

INSTRUCTIONS

The finishes of the facade are usually one of the weakest points of the ship as they are in direct contact with the elements. On the other hand, it may initially be just dirt or degradation of the aesthetic image of the facade can become dangerous because any release would fall directly on the street.

Over time, the paint is often discolor or stain by dripping rainwater. If you want to repaint, should be done with the same type of paint.

Ask your Builder or Architect the possibility of applying a colorless protective product.

OPERATIONS TO PERFORM

To Inspect

Every 5 years Inspection of the metal clamping

Facade.

Every 10 years General inspection of finished facade.

Clean Up

Every 10 years Cleaning the brickwork of the facade.

A Renew

Every 3 years Repainting of paint plastic facade.

Every 15 years Re-coating resins of the facade.
