THE JUDGE'S HOUSE

Malcom Malcomson had to study very hard for his examinations of his final year at college. He decided go to a quiet town to do it. He found an old house, and he thought it was perfect for him. But some people told him that there was a dark history about the house, because a cruel judge was lived there for a long time and he ordered to hang many criminals.

He didn't mind it. He decided to live in the dining-room because it was very big and there was a long table, an old wooden chair, a fireplace and something rare, a rope hanging from the ceiling. It was fixed to a big alarm-bell, if something or somebody touched the rope the alarm rang. It was the rope that the hangman used to hang criminals, but Malcom didn't know it.

He studied very hard, but every day at nigth he heard noises because there was many rats everywhere, they squeaked and scratched. Also all days at midnight happened the same thing. Suddenly a big rat with evil eyes appeared sitting on the old chair and it looked Malcom. He threw it books, but the rat didn't move, only when he stood up, the rat climbed at the rope and it dissapeared in a hole wich there was beside a painting on the wall, but it was very dirty. In the next morning he asked for the cleaning woman that she cleaned the painting.

At night, he watched the clean painting. It was a painting of the judge, he had a cruel face and evil eyes. Suddenly the judge dissapparead from the painting and the big rat apparead sitting on the chair. Malcom thought that he was becoming mad. The rat was holding on the rope, it was biting until the rope broke, then the rat transformed in the judge again. Malcom was horrified and very frightened, he knew that wasn't able rang the alarm-bell, he couldn't ask for help. The judge approached him more and more and he couldn't move because he was paralyzed. Then the judge put the rope around his neck, althought the rats trying help him, they trying make rang the alarm, but the noise there wasn't sufficiently loud. And the judge killed Malcom, and then sounded the alarm very loud, and woke up to the people, and they went to the old house and they found Malcom dead, hanging from the rope.

THE IRON MAIDEN

An American couple, Amelia and her husband went to Nürnberg after they were married, it was an old city of Germany. There they met to Elias, another American. The three spent many time together doing sightseeing. The castle was the oldest building. It was on a hill and it had a moat. Long time ago it was filled of water for kept safe the people from their enemies, but now there isn't water.

One day they went to the castle and they saw a big black cat playing with her kittenin the moat. Elias told that he wanted to play with the cats. He said he was going to throw a stone and cats not know where it came from. The stone fell and hit the kitten and it dead. Then the mother's kitten looked up straight at Elias and she showed her sharp teeth, she was very angry. Amelia told to Elias that the cat was killed him and Elias laughed.
